All camps taught by Artistic Director Elyse Young
Malta Drama Programs are run by Elyse Young, Malta’s Theater Director and founder of Malta’s Spotlighter’s Theater Troupe. She holds her BFA in Theater Arts from Boston University and has been teaching classes and camps in Malta and the Capital District for over 30 years. Theater participants benefit physically and intellectually through creative exploration and team building activities. Students learn through acting skills such as concentration, memorization, improvisation thinking, and understanding and exploring the five senses. One of the most rewarding benefits is having the satisfaction of hard work resulting in a positive outcome viewed by an audience.
Quote from a participant:
"Hello: The acting class I just completed, lead by Elyse Young exceeded my expectations. Elyse brings hard work, talent, and passion to her teaching, and I thoroughly enjoyed the class."
