Malta Drama Programs are run by Elyse Young, Malta’s Theater Director and founder of Malta’s Spotlighter’s Theater Troupe. She holds her BFA in Theater Arts from Boston University and has been teaching classes and camps in Malta and the Capital District for over 30 years. Theater participants benefit physically and intellectually through creative exploration and team building activities. Students learn through acting skills such as concentration, memorization, improvisation thinking, and understanding and exploring the five senses. One of the most rewarding benefits is having the satisfaction of hard work resulting in a positive outcome viewed by an audience.

HALLOWEEN MAGIC! After School Acting Class for 6-12 year olds! All participants will get a part in our show, performed just in time for Halloween! Learn acting techniques, play theater games, rehearse and perform a show, complete with scenery and costumes, for invited guests on the Malta Community Center Stage!
