Quilling is the art of using paper strips then rolling them up and sticking them together to make a seasonal ornament or other craft.
Instructor Stacey Kennedy
Stacey has been creative since she was a young girl. Her exploration from early childhood took her on a journey exploring cooking, pottery, drawing, watercolor and acrylic painting, collage, sewing, scrapbooking, card making, origami, and quilling crafts. Stacey enjoys participating in craft shows. She has a meetup group and teaches her craft at senior centers, local libraries and private parties.
In this class, quilling expert Stacey Kennedy will explain the history of quilling. You will learn the techniques of quilling and the various patterns that can use to create simple designs. You'll learn how to roll loose and tight coils and form them into flowers, alphabet letters, animals, 3-D shapes and much more. All the supplies are included.
Kusudama Origami Flower
Students will learn how to make a Kusudama Origami flower. Each student will create 4- 5 flowers using the quilling technique.
Quilled Tulips Basket
Using this quilling technique each student will create a corrugated paper basket that is 3 inches tall. Then they will create 5- 10 mini quilled tulips to fit the basket.
