Introduction to Mixed Media

Introduction  to Mixed Media

Instructor: Chelsea Formichella

Chelsea Formichella is a mom of two little ones and a local freelance artist. She has taught pre-k after graduating college, and subsequently taught English overseas. Her passion has always been in the arts. Chelsea has been teaching arts and crafts workshops where she works with children and adults, giving them the materials, resources, tools, and encouragement to create something themselves with minimal step-by-step instructions.

Step into a vibrant, hands-on art class where imagination takes center stage and a blank canvas becomes the beginning of something extraordinary. In this creative space, you’ll explore the expressive power of markers, the texture and depth of paint, and the unexpected beauty of recycled materials. Layer by layer, you’ll experiment with color, form, and composition. This class is all about freedom, innovation, and personal expression. By the end, what once was empty will be transformed into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that reflects your unique artistic voice. Each student will complete a blank canvas by the end of the six-week class.  All materials will be provided.
